My last build was a ej8 that i was extremly in love with and sold it in a haste to a good friend to buy my wife her car. i then was "out the game" for about a year when i decided to build a hatch but i could not find a clean tittle for a decent price with out a hack job of a swap.

All USDM '96-'00 Civics are EJs EXCEPT for the '99-'00 Si, which is an EM. It's all about chassis. Shiznit said: your 98 coupe is an ej8. a regular 96-00 coupe (non si) is also an ej8. an si (99-00) is an em1. the only ek's are JDM despite what people claim. the correct chassis for a USDM 96-00 is an ej6. there was never a USDM ek manufactured.
