The Lingot-Martin wine cellar is in Poncin in the French department of Ain, just a few kilometres from the town of Cerdon. The wine cellar is well-known for its PDO Cerdon wines ('traditional method' sparkling rosé), as well as its PDO Bugey wines. This winegrowing region is 30 kilometres east of Bourg-en-Bresse, along the Lyon-Geneva axis.

Cerdon is a 'cru' of the Bugey wine region, covering 338 acres. The Lingot Martin vineyards cover 100 acres in the heart of the appellation, on steep slopes ranging up to and over 1200 feet. While grapes have been grown here since Roman times, Bugey and Cerdon were only granted AOC status in 2009.

The winegrowers of the Maison Lingot-Martin now passionately run their estate located in the vineyards of Cerdon, in the Savoie-Bugey region. The latter is divided into two wine-growing areas, namely Savoie and Bugey. The Savoyard vineyards are located on the first slopes of the Alps, at an altitude of between 250 and 450 metres.
