IOWA BROWNIES

Recipe follows: IOWA BROWNIES. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes in 9×13 pan. 1/2 Cup soft butter. 1 to 1 1/2 Cups sugar. cream together well. 1 - 16 oz. can chocolate syrup and slowly add. 4 eggs - one at a time mixing well after each - stir in. 1 Cup flour, sifted.


BROWNIES

Directions. Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in syrup, then eggs one at a time. Beat in flour gradually. Fold in nuts (optional). Pour into greased cake pan about 9x13 inches. They do not rise much. Bake at 350℉ (180℃). about 30 to 40 mins. Cut into squares.


Brownies

They do not rise much. Bake at 350 degrees about 30-40 mins. *Orig. receipe calls for jelly roll pan-- that is 15x10. Cooking time is 25 mins for this size. Pan will be full but they do not rise. Frost with the Frosting for Iowa Brownies receipe to follow. **I use Hersheys Choc. syrup. This is more of a "cake" than a brownie.

Directions. Spray mini muffin tin cups very well with non-stick spray, then stir together brownie mix and spoon into cups about 3/4 of the way full. Bake according to package directions then immediately after removing from the oven, spray the bottom of a shot glass and press down in the center of each brownie to create a small divot. Re-spray.

CAKE: Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in syrup, then eggs, one at a time. Beat in flour gradually, fold in nuts.

Stir in choc. chips and take off stove; let sit for 2 minutes to melt chips- don't stir during this time or frosting will be grainy. After 2 minutes, stir well.
