The animation was a joke, although the art was nice. The voice acting was terrible, though the characters are likable, but the truth is, its kind of boring. "Pet shop of Horrors" was a manga first, and a very successful one at that, so if you want to enjoy the story of this frightful pet shop, I suggest reading the manga over the OVA.
