This 1972 Ford Pinto has a few things going for it, one of them is being in storage since 1980 which has seemed to preserve it in what looks like outstanding condition. For 1972, Pinto was bestowed the honor of being a member of a trio of Ford Sprint vehicles along with the Mustang and Maverick. Pinto Sprint sedans and Runabouts were finished in white with blue hoods and lower body panels, wheels came with hubcaps and bright trim rings, and red pinstripe accents ran the length of the car.

The lead photo of a Pinto at a car show is amusing. Our local Ford car show circuit also has a baby blue Pinto that shows up to grab its class trophy. Rarely any competition, must have a wall full of trophies at home. I owned a 71 sedan and a 72 wagon. The sedan got rear ended and it didn't explode.
