The only way I've ever seen the drop bar 26er work is by using an old school quill stem (exlike a 150mm one with an insane rise) but then you can't use oversized bars and have to run a more vintage looking cockpit.. I've tried to compile all the components I know that can help shorten the reach to compensate for drop bars on vintage MTB.
