The Panzerjäger I ("English: tank hunter number 1") was the first German tank destroyer to see service in the Second World War. All mounted the Czech Škoda -built 4.7 cm KPÚV vz. 38 (German designation "4.7 cm Pak (t)") antitank gun on a converted Panzer I Ausf. B chassis.

The gun used was the Skoda 47 mm Kanon P.U.V.vz.38, known as the 4.7 cm Panzerabwehrkanone 36 (t), or simply as 4.7 cm PaK (t) in German service. It was an effective weapon for its time. During the period of August 1939 to May 1941, some 566 4.7 cm PaK (t) were built by Škoda for the Germans.

The 4,7 cm Pak (t) auf Pz.I Ausf.B, otherwise known as the Panzerjäger I, is a rank I German tank destroyer with a battle rating of 1.3 (AB/RB/SB). It was introduced in Update 1.57 "Battle March" . The vehicle is based on a Pz.Kpfw.I chassis, which is also found on the Flakpanzer I. This means it has no armour.

The Panzerjäger I is a Tier II German Collector Tank Destroyer. The Germans needed a portable Anti-Tank gun to counter heavy French tanks for the Battle of France. Using the obsolete Panzer I Ausf. B chassis, they slapped a Czech 4.7cm PaK (t) anti-tank gun and some metal sheets on it. Hence the Panzerjäger I (German for Tank Hunter 1) was created.

Once again the antitank guns of Pz. Jag. Abt. 1 destroyed several Soviet tanks, but the move was effective. The Russians were able to enter the town, and the battle deteriorated into house-to-house fighting. By evening, the Germans had evacuated the town, leaving many of Schirwindt's 1,000 inhabitants dead in the streets..

The Pz.Kpfw. I is a German tier 2 light tank. The Pz. I Ausf. A was the first mass-produced German tank. In 1935, the design was upgraded with an elongated hull and a more powerful engine. Mass production of this version, the Pz. I Ausf. B, eventually totaled 675 tanks. The standard armament was weak, but some tanks were upgraded on the Spanish.
