Make sure the bowl you are using is large enough to make mixing easier. Add one cup of flour to the bowl. Add half cup of salt to the bowl. Mix flour and salt. Quick tip: you can also mix in a little bit of cinnamon at this stage, it will make your creations brown and will give them the most festive scent.

Shape a piece of the dough into a ball in your hands. Place the ball on the cookie sheet and flatten to about 1/2โณ thickness. Carefully select pieces of pea gravel to spell out "DAD ROCKS". Press them firmly but gently into the salt dough. Bake your paperweight for 2-2.5 hours until completely dry.
