I would think so with some caveats. My Colt 6951 (semi-auto 16" flat top 9mm) upper runs fine on my Colt 614 (factory full-auto) lower, as does a Colt factory 10.5" 9mm barreled upper. You'll need a bunch of other parts, e.g., a 9mm ramped bolt, mag block. See the "Pistol Caliber Carbine" forum for details.

#1 · Nov 11, 2021 my Colt 9mm carbine has a serial number of TA112xx. Is it a model 6450 or 6430. I know it is a 1995 manufacture but not the exact model. I have SBR'd it to 10.5" using an RRA upper. It was a retired cops cruiser rifle with a 16" barrel when I bought it. Can any one help with the model number.

Quite well in my opinion. My Colt AR 9mm works well with a can on it, is quiet, and doesn't gas you out. I really like my AR 9mm. It stated out much like the first picture, but with a fixed stock. Since then, I had the barrel chopped to 10.5" when I SBR'ed it, put a flattop upper on it for a red dot, Troy handguard, and a ACE collapsible stock.

The average pistol-caliber carbine shoots either 9mm, .40 S&W cartridges, or .45 ACP, and less common are .380 and .357 SIG cartridges.. semi-auto-only design with a 16-inch barrel to keep it off the NFA. (SBR variants are available as well.) The Auto-Ordnance Thompson M1 is far from modern and is more for fun than any serious task. Boy, oh.
