It was a little different from the regular AF uniforms that I was used to seeing. Ill give a real answer here. Firstly, writing them honestly is a bit confusing because while there are guidelines, they can be vague and lead a lot to be desired. It also seems like a waste of time to write a 300 word essay when I can spend my time working on my 2500 word reaearch papers for college. I hate public speaking and get nervous.

It takes training and experience away from those that care about the mission, and you probably won't find the little bit of flight time worth the time and money required to maintain an active membership. I'm sorry guys, the fluorescent comment was a cynical joke. I respect CAP members, but I always see them marching around the airport and can't contain my laughter.. We think this is a good policy in that it keeps Colonel grade in Civil Air Patrol distinctive for the position while still recognizing military competency for grades O-1 through O-5.
